Why Equity1821?
In 1821, David Mallory established the first Black-owned business in Indianapolis. Despite the challenges Black businesses face, theyhave been in the city enhancing the larger community for 200 years.

Equity1821 is an emerging CDFI Associate Member through the African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs. – a network of community-based financial institutions that have a common goal of filling financing gaps in underserved areas. This translates into real change for the communities and people who need it most.
